To the Editor:
We're down to just three dogs finally but because they're pit bull mixes, it will be difficult placing them in the right home due to everyone's fears and phobias of the breed but I know these dogs and I would not adopt them out if I had any doubts about them.
Dierdra is a spayed female 5-year-old Pit mix. (With what, I'm not sure... Mastiff, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Anatolian Shepherd --- the possibilities are endless.) She's a lover of all people, big and small, who will treat her with love and kindness and let her be a dog. Due to her past treatment, she's a fighter with other dogs who challenge her authority. She's been taught to be the boss with other animals but not with people. She needs a strong, confident owner who can be her boss and keep others from challenging her.
Taylor is a 1-year-old spayed female Pit mix. She needs a slow and gentle, loving person to bring her out of her shell. She's afraid of strangers but once she knows ya, she'll be your best friend and give you nothing but love. She's a very petite little girl who seems fearful of all these big people who approach her as she was when we first captured her but she came to me because she knew she could trust me.
Chaos is a 3-4-year-old neutered male Pit bull boy with the softest, sweetest personality who loves everyone. Needs a strong confident owner to take charge and lay down the rules and he'll be the perfect mellow mush that he can be.
