I totaly agree. i heard it was changed because of the school bus traffic but Kris is right cant a sensor or timer be put in because most traffic is directional to hudson/upper main st. as per the green arrow my wife rear ended someone there in the rain when it was first changed and the person in front of her slammed on the brakes because they were obviously used to the way it was for years and neber informed of the change like most of us never were either . luckly it wasnt a major accident but i did consider sending a legal request to the town if the person decided to further the incident.

C'mon, Kris, just do like everybody else; ignore the darn thing and drive it the way it used to be. I can't count the number of people who just breeze through it when the arrow changes from green... TO RED! without a yellow, myself included. I have no desire to get rear-ended or come to a skidding halt on a turn. I figure- if they can't install the darn thing properly why should I compensate for their ineptitude? And the good ol' boy makes a good ol' point about not having any advance warning. Most places will have a "new traffic pattern" sign or something, What *we* need is a "stupid traffic pattern" sign. And could we PLEASE replace the turning direction sign that some yahoo took down at the intersection of Duncan Avenue and Hudson Street?!?! Honestly, if you are OBSERVING the pavement markings you can clearly see the solid and dotted yellow lines and it is perfectly clear that east bound traffic that is turning left should turn through the eastern most lane NOT in front of the dentists office, and west bound traffic making a left should use the western most lane. What is so hard about that? It is simply a square traffic circle. Makes sense to me...
