Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Sunday, October 14
12:03 a.m. Police respond to a report of a 16-year-old subject not taking his medication for bi-polar disorder. His parents said the doctor wants him to go to the hospital but subject takes his medication and all parties agree it is no longer necessary to go to the hospital.

2:04 a.m. Village and town police respond to a possible prowler report at a home on Partridge Road without finding anything.

8:28 a.m. Police remove a dead deer from the roadside of Route 9W.

1:39 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles skateboarding off the rear steps of Quigley Bros. Funeral home and are advised that next time their parents will come to headquarters to pick up their skateboards.

2:22 p.m. Police respond to a report of two subjects in the water near the Cornwall Yacht Club. With the assist of local residents Dan and Jeanne Mahoney the two kayakers were assisted to land.

4:39 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 17-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.


Monday, October 15
4:33 a.m. Police respond to a report of a deer in the middle of the roadway in Hudson Street.

8:48 a.m. Police issue a summons to a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Maple Avenue Extension.

9:45 a.m. Police respond to a report of larceny of a Toro push lawnmower from Blackwell Street. Police think that someone may have taken thinking it was for bulk trash pickup.

11:21 a.m. Police respond to the Storm King School for a threat made by a student who was arguing with another student and stated “I am going to go home, get a gun and come back and shoot some people.” The boy’s father was contacted and the school officials said they would work with the parents.

2:07 p.m. Police respond to a report of a reckless driver on Mountain Road heading towards Hudson Street, locate the vehicle whose driver denied any wrongdoing.

Tuesday, October 16
10:08 p.m. Police respond to a domestic incident involving a mother and daughter.

Wednesday, October 17
3:10 p.m. Police respond to a civil complaint by a property owner who said his neighbor had cut down 20 of his trees.
