Sunday, October 7
1:00 p.m.  Police take a report of an American Express Gold card account that was opened in a woman’s name by an unknown person.

3:05 p.m.  Police assist COVAC in carrying a man who fell off his dirt bike in the woods, injuring his left side.
4:58 p.m.  Police respond to a report of vandalism to a vehicle caused by a group of juveniles.  Police determine that the damage caused to the car’s mirror was accidental and the parent’s of the responsible party agree to pay for the repair.

7:03 p.m.  Police make a welfare check on a woman whose ex-husband said she may have taken medication and was dazed.  He did not want to leave his children with her.  Police intervene and settle the matter.

9:23 p.m.  Police arrest a 32-year-old Highland man and charge him with assault after he was involved in a domestic incident with his estranged girlfriend.

Monday, October 8
1:57 a.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94 and Dragon Drive.

7:11 a.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 61 mph in a 45 mph zone on Orrs Mills Road to a 39-year-old male from Oakhurst.

2:22 p.m.  Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 32 to a 28-year-old male from Newburgh.

3:31 p.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 9W to a 23-year-old male from Marlboro.

5:54 p.m.  Police issue a summons for an obstructed license plate to a vehicle traveling on Route 32 whose driver was a 29-year-old male from New Windsor.

8:55 p.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 9W to a female.

Tuesday, October 9
1:02 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

1:24 p.m.  Police investigate a report of mailbox tampering at a private residence on John Street.

1:58 p.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 9W to a 19-year-old female from the Bronx.

6:08 p.m.  Police respond to a report of two dollars and a scratch-off lottery ticket worth $17 that had been taken by a family member in a private residence.

9:57 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 56 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 21-year-old female from Newburgh.

10:19 p.m.  Police respond to Quaker Plaza for a report of a male who was yelling.  Located person and advised him.

Wednesday, October 10
8:08 a.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on the Angola Road ramp onto 9W south.

9:59 a.m.  Police investigate a report of vandalism to a private mailbox on Sycamore Drive in New Windsor.

7:48 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 32-year-old female from Florida.

8:18 p.m.  Police arrest Robert Ramon, 46, of Salisbury Mills, on an outstanding warrant for harassment, contempt and trespass.

9:45 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a large fight in progress involving approximately 15 to 20 teenagers with bats, knives, and possible guns on Beakes Road.  Police arrive to find approximately 20 people in the midst of running.  Police interview nine subjects and determine that there was a verbal argument between two parties who both said they were going to get their guns.  They later said they did not have guns.  A search of the area turned up one pair of brass knuckles and a club, but no one admitted to having these items.


Thursday, October 11, 2007
9:26 a.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 23-year-old male from Newburgh.

10:36 a.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation Route 32 to a 45-year-old male from New City.

1:41 p.m.  Police take a report that five plants in a wheelbarrow outside a house on Tenny Lane had been killed by an unknown liquid poured on them and that two azaleas in the rear of the house had also been killed with some type of liquid two weeks earlier.

2:33 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 25-year-old female from New Windsor.

7:40 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic dispute.


Friday, October 12
11:43 a.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a tree branch was in the road on Route 32 and struck and broke a vehicle’s side front windshield.

9:46 p.m.  Police receive a BMW keychain found at Willow Avenue and Mailer Avenue.

12:33 p.m.  Police respond to a Hasbrouck Avenue for a motor vehicle accident with injuries in which the vehicle was on its right side leaning against a rock wall, being held up by a utility wire.

3:52 p.m.  Police respond to a hit-and-run accident on Route 32 near the J&K Deli where the driver of one car reported being hit in the rear when she slowed to make a turn.

5:15 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 94 and Jackson Avenue.

7:20 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

8:29 p.m.  Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 94 to an 18-year-old male from Monroe.

10:21 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 68 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to an 18-year-old male.

11:38 p.m.  Police respond to a report of loud music on Mohegan Court and advise homeowner to turn it down.


Saturday, October 13
10:40 a.m.  Police charge George Overton, 38, of Haverstraw, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and with speeding on Route 9W.


Sunday, October 14
5:37 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a mailbox broken off its base on Lee Road.

6:57 p.m.  Police issue a summons for an illegal U-turn on Route 9W to a 43-year-old female from Canton.

9:00 p.m.  Police take a report of a wallet with cash and credit cards that a woman lost after she left it on the fender of her car and drove away.

9:49 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving without tail lights on Route 9W to a 26-year-old male from Ossining.
