Police Blotter: September 26-29, 2007

Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Thursday, September 27
7:06 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a noisy El Camino with a loud muffler disturbing neighbors and advise the owner.

11:11 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a child at the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school who passed out.  On arrival, child was conscious and was transported to the hospital by COVAC.

1:15 p.m.  Police respond to the Cornwall Presbyterian Church for a trespassing complaint.

2:56 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a reckless driver coming from West Point on Route 218 and stop the driver who had an eye ailment.

Friday, September 28
8:36 a.m.  Police respond to a report that someone had loosened the air caps on two vehicles at a private residence, leaving one tire flat.

4:45 p.m.  Police respond to a report that four paintings were missing from a business and it was unknown if they had been taken by the artist who by unknown subjects.  Complainant wanted to file a report in case of future problems.

4:46 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a large oak tree blocking the roadway on Deer Hill Road and advise the DPW.

6:15 p.m.  Police respond to a report that a child had fallen from her bike and had a broken leg.  Child’s parents transport her to the hospital.

11:00 p.m.  Police charge 19-year-old Kenyatta Schmidt, of New Windsor, with illegal possession of alcohol after he is found on Hudson Street with a 24-oz. can of Steel reserve beer.


Saturday, September 29
7:40 a.m.  Police respond to an eyewitness account hearing yelling and seeing a Suburu wagon that rolled backwards down Mountain Road.  The subject was delivering newspapers.

4:45 p.m.  Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Hudson Street.

4:55 p.m.  Police warn a group of 14-to-16-year-old male teens not to trespassi in the parking lot of the Lulves Funeral Home or they will face prosecution.
