Sunday, September 23
5:31 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
2:00 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 218 to a 40-year-old male from New Windsor.
2:15 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 218 to a 37-year-old male from New Windsor.
Monday, September 24
7:00 a.m. Two officers assist a deer stuck in a fence on Academy Avenue. Officer Willard held the fence while Officer Terwilliger held the two rear legs of the deer until it was freed.
9:05 a.m. Police observe a white vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, 73 mph, on Route 9W southbound. The vehicle was very hard to stop because it appeared the vehicle driver was trying to evade the police. The driver, a 42-year-old female from Haverstraw, was issued a summons.
5:40 p.m. Police investigate a report of a cat in a storm drain on Academy Avenue but find nothing.
Tuesday, September 25
9:33 a.m. Police arrest David Burris, 32, of Cornwall, and charge him with driving with a suspended license.
5:32 p.m. Police issue a summons for an expired insurance sticker to an 18-year-old female from Yonkers.
7:30 p.m. Police respond to a complaint about the use of a BB gun in a neighbor’s yard in the village and advise the neighbor.
Wednesday, September 26
10:27 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute.
5:05 p.m. Police respond to a report of verbal abuse involving a taxi driver and passenger.
