Ashley Garcia, sophomore at Anna Maria College and resident of Cornwall, NY, received an MVP award for Women’s Softball at Anna Maria College https://spark.adobe.com/page/qajIONR2cdYMJ/
In these unprecedented times, where everyone is participating in online learning due to COVID-19, Anna Maria athletics is unable to hold the athletic department awards night that was scheduled for May 1, 2020. In response, Anna Maria Athletics dedicated the entire week to announcing the department awards for the 2019-2020 season. There are some annual awards that the department chose not to award this year due to the suspension of the spring season in response to COVID-19.
"I would like to congratulate all of the student-athlete award winners that were announced this week. Although we were unable to honor them on campus in person, it does not change how deserving all of them were to receive these honors. All of 2019-2020 AMCATS are a special group of student-athletes and we miss having all of you on campus. It has been an honor and a great pleasure to return to my alma matter and serve as your Director of Athletics. These are truly unprecedented times but I am confident that AMCAT Nation will return stronger than ever. I am looking forward to our return to campus and accomplishing great things together in 2020-2021." - Joe Brady '96, Director of Athletics

The AMCAT Awards Week recap incudes the team Most Valuable Player award winners, the Team Leadership award winners, the Four-Year Commitment Award recognitions and the AMCAT Academic Excellence Awards.
