Dear Editor,
This month’s Village election presents a real opportunity to develop a long-term vision for Cornwall-on-Hudson. Village Board candidate Niklas Moran has been an active presence in encouraging Cornwall and CoH toward a more sustainable, livable direction, through advocacy, through his work with the Cornwall Conservation Advisory Council, and in his job with the Mid-Hudson Regional Council. Having spoken with him in the past three years I understand his thinking on big-picture items, like how to preserve Cornwall-on-Hudson’s natural beauty and unique landscape—but I’ve also worked alongside him as he gets his hands dirty cleaning up trash in Donahue Park or areas in the town.
Niklas is one of very few residents who consistently attends Village Board meetings. He will approach the job with vision, commitment, and a fresh understanding of how social, environmental, and financial changes affect our tax burden, services, and future here in our Village.
I’m happy to encourage my neighbors to cast your vote for Niklas Moran at Village Hall on March 19.
