To those who may be interested in property tax reform, there is a Property Tax Reform Task Force which is seeking school funding reform through the New York State legislature. This is a coalition of N.Y. state towns, community groups and citizens with information available on this website: www.hvpropterytaxreform.org
There are two public events scheduled as follows: On Saturday, Sept. 29 there will be a Property Taxpayers Summit in Albany from 10AM -3 PM and on Friday, October 5 @ 7 PM is the group's regular Task Force Meeting at the Marbletown Town Hall, Rt. 209 Stone Ridge, NY 12484.
