CORNWALL, NY – Did you ever want to learn more about your family history, but you just didn’t know where to begin? Then join the library's Head of Adult Services, Charlotte Dunaief, in a genealogical search tutorial where she will demonstrate how to conduct searches on the library edition of ANCESTRY.com, the gold standard in online genealogical research. There will be four opportunities throughout the year to attend, the first on Tuesday, January 23 from 6:30-7:30 PM in the library’s community room.
Ancestry.com is one of the largest genealogical websites with approximately 16 billion historical records. The library provides free access to this in-depth resource from within the library. Patrons will learn basic tips on how to get started with a family search. No matter the reason for your search, the library can start you on this journey of discovery.
A few laptops are available to borrow, but patrons are encouraged to bring their own. This is a drop-in program; no registration is required.
