When Supervisor Randy Clark recently proposed investigating the purchase of the Storm King Golf Club the Town Board refused to act, not one single Board Member would second the motion to gather information. Buying the Golf Course could be an excellent idea, then again, it could be a lousy one. Thanks to our town leadership we will never know. Ms. Bunt, Mrs. Longinott, Mr. Russell and Mr. McGuiness all rejected the pursuit of knowledge. From the floor Richard Randazzo, candidate for Supervisor, argued against pursuing knowledge. Webster's defines ignorance as the lack of knowledge. I don't know if a municipal golf course is good for us but I am 100% certain that leaders who pursue ignorance are not.

If golf courses weren't profitable, there wouldn't be any. While the NYMA and KJ situation are of great importance, an income generating property should seem very appealing to the tax payers.
