Color-A-Thon 3k/5k Fun Run in Cornwall!
Cornwall, NY, May 14, 2015 – Cornwall Community Foundation is hosting a Color-A-Thon 3k/5k Fun Run on Saturday, June 20, 2015. This fun, healthy event is a fundraiser where you can walk, run, skip or cartwheel through a course and get blasted by color dust!
All in our community are invited to participate in this Color-A-Thon event. Registration is $30 and can be done at http://shop.schoolathon.org/EventIndex.asp?EID=181261 . Those who register before June 6, 2015 will receive a t-shirt and a color dye pack.
The color dust is safe, non-toxic and completely washable. It’s made of corn starch and color dyes approved by the FDA. “This is a safe and healthy fundraiser,” said Brandi McLendon, the race organizer. “Plus it’s a fun way to get our students outside, involve the community and have a blast!”
“We are very excited to host this Color-A-Thon event,” said Jeanne Parsons, President of the Cornwall Community Foundation. “The money will be invested in our track renovation project here in Cornwall.”
The Cornwall Community Foundation Color-A-Thon will be on Saturday, June 20th. Registration begins at 7:30am and the race starts at 9:00am at Cornwall Central Middle School track. After the event, there will be a Color Blast After Party with music, local business vendors, food and other items for purchase, and Big Blasts of Color!
