The Town of Cornwall Police Department has received complaints that residents have been receiving solicitation phone calls from someone representing themselves as the Police Chiefs Association as well as the Police Foundation. The phone calls are a reoccurring scam that take place from time to time. Residents are cautioned against donating to any organization that calls them on the phone or uses a paid solicitor.
02/16/15 Police transport a small white dog found on Taylor Rd to the Woodbury Animal shelter.
02/17/15 Police take a report of fraud. The victim received a call from a man identifying himself as an FBI officer stating the vistim owed $3,000. The victim gave the ‘FBI officer’ $3,000 and was advised by Police of her options.
