CORNWALL, NY – The Board of Trustees of the Cornwall Public Library would like to extend an invitation to all to attend a Community Discussion on Wednesday, January 28th at 7:00pm (snowdate, Thursday, January 29th at 7:00pm), in the library’s community room. Discussion will center on the results of the recent Library Referendum; participants will be asked to share their thoughts and opinions as to what the library’s next steps should be. Thomas Weddell, CPA, a partner in the firm Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell of Newburgh, will facilitate the discussion.
In addition to the Community Discussion, the Board also plans to distribute a survey in order to collect the broadest number of points of view from the community about how the library will be configured to deliver services in the future. A printed survey will be available through the January 16th issue of The Cornwall Local, as well as the library circulation desk during regular business hours, beginning on January 14th. People who prefer to complete an electronic survey will be able to do so online, starting January 14th, at the library’s website: www.cornwallpubliclibrary.org. The surveys will need to be completed and returned to the library by January 31st.
“We urge all residents of the greater Cornwall community to provide input,” said Karen LaRocca-Fels, Library Director. “The staff and Board are anxious to find the best way to meet the needs and expectations of the community. We look forward to hearing from everyone.”
