Veteran's Day 2014 at The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor
November 11, 2014
Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 2:00 p.m.
Veteran's Day Program at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor
Veteran's Day began as Armistice Day to commemorate the ending of combat in World War I. Since 1954, it has been known as Veteran's Day to honor all those who have served in the Armed Forces. In keeping with this tradition, the Hall of Honor will conduct a brief ceremony and wreath laying in commemoration of Veteran's Day. This ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting by the flag poles at the Hall of Honor.
At 2:30 there will be a brief tribute in our program space to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the formal beginning of War in Vietnam. Light refreshments will be served. Seating for this portion of the program is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. To make a reservation, please call 845-561-1765.
