The ever dwindling and visually dull appearance of the Cornwall Community Farmers Market, could improve if it was not run like a private club. Accepting only food vendors, with a few choice,non-food,"plant based" products. I'm sure the community would like look at crafts, handmade by artists in their town. I recently submitted a request to display, hand painted "vintage" signs, many pertaining to the local area. Denied. The Urban Market and Beacon Market were happy to have me. So much for home town hospitality.

It's a farmers market, not an arts-and-crafts fair.

I don't think it would hurt anything to have more vendors at the farmer's market. I would love to see some crafts there. It would be more interesting.

Why the focus on how "interesting" the farmers market is, and how it's "visually dull"? We go there to buy fresh, locally grown food, not to be entertained. I say again, it's a farmers market, not a craft fair, not an entertainment site. Ms. Zawoluk points out that her exhibition application was accepted by the Urban Market and the Beacon Market. Judging by their names, they are -not- exclusively farmers markets, which is fine. Perhaps the people interested in a crafts market should see about establishing one. (And I'll bet if they did and then farmers wanted to join it, they'd say, "Hey, we don't need the competition, buddy, this is a crafts market...")
