General News: Six Year Old Dies in Freak Accident
Christian Martinisi died in an freak accident on Thursday. He was six years old.
The accident happened at the Martinis’s home on Clemence Road in New Windsor, a temporary residence for the family due to their home on Pin Oak Drive being hit by lightning on July 3.
Christian Martinisi walked into the house through the garage and a cement lolly column gave way and knocked him down. He was rushed to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he was pronounced dead.
Christian was supposed to start first grade at Willow Avenue School next week.
As of August 29, 2014 the accident is still under investigation.
A funeral will be held for Christian on September 2nd arranged by Kevin Quigley of Quigley Bros. Funeral Home.
