General News: Summer Reading Program Kick-Off

We are ‘All Together Now’ at the Cornwall Public Library
CORNWALL – The Cornwall Public Library’s 2023 Summer Reading Program, “All Together Now,” officially begins on June 26. Celebrate the beginning of summer and of the Summer Reading Program with our kick-off event, “Catchy Comedy with Rich Potter,” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26. This fun, interactive comedy show for all ages is a drop-in event the whole family is sure to enjoy. Staff will be available to help patrons – children and adults – sign up for the Summer Reading Program before and after the show.
The library will also be hosting a special teen kick-off event especially for those entering Grades 6-12, “Sundaes & Summer Sign-Up” at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28. Teens are invited to bring themselves and their friends to the library for an afternoon of sweet treats and tons of fun as they sign up for Summer Reading in the process.
The Summer Reading Program features reading logs and game boards for all ages, with amusing at-home challenges that provide a great way to exercise your reading muscles and stretch your creative powers. Additionally, there are events all summer long for children, including Dog Tales, Book Groups, Yoga, and LEGO Family Build-It, among many others. Teens can enjoy Teen Trivia or participate in our Teen Photography Contest. Be sure not to miss our some of our other fun programs for all ages: PJ Story Times, Hudson Valley Reptile & Rescue, Family Sculpture Time, or “All Together Sing” featuring Cornwall’s own Jessica Henry, just to name a few. No matter the age, the Cornwall Public Library is excited to bring our community “All Together Now” in special ways this summer!
