General News: Town Board Meeting Update April 8th

The Town Board voted unanimously tonight to approve the purchase of TASERS for the PD and appropriate training for Officers.
Town Board also approved permitting USDA to enter all Town owned property to oil geese eggs (addling).
Town Board tabled all resolutions on repairs to Sands-Ring Homestead, which is Town owned, due to dispute between various concerned parties (Historical Society & Friend of Sands-Ring Museum) over construction methods and materials and keeping the structure historically preserved.
The Board approved getting an engineering report on the structure over fear of further deterioration of the building, which also caused controversy between the groups and the Board. There were questions over whether the engineer was familiar with historical preservation.
