General News: Cornwall Lions Club Update

Lion Secretary R. Tulloch reported on receiving correspondence:
A Thank You from Guiding Eyes for the Blind for our $5,000 donation and A Thank You from Jackie Gaillard for our gift to her for directing the Fall Harvest Race, which she “paid forward” by purchasing gifts for Cornwall School District needy families. WOW!! A double “Thanks” to Jackie!!
Wreath & Roping Co-Chairs DeSocio and Brandt report a profit of $1,516 from the sale, and offered praise to Lion Helen Bunt and her students who sold $1,000 worth of merchandise.
Holiday Gifts Chair LP Beesecker reported that this project spent $2,881, + a financial contribution from Lions Navarra and LaBarge, that provided gifts for 40 needy individuals within the Cornwall School Dist.
George Gaillard said the planning of the Golf Tournament is in the works. Details to follow.
A Health Fair will be held on April 25th. Among the screenings to be performed will be one for diabetes with Dave Olson in charge.
