General News: Arrest Made in Hit and Run Fatal Accident
from the New Windsor Police Department

New Windsor Police Detectives have made an arrest in the Hit and Run Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident that occurred on January 9, 2014, on Walsh Road in the Town of New Windsor N.Y. The victim, Eric L. Geter age 32 of Newburgh N.Y. died at the scene.
The investigation led to the discovery of the involved vehicle which was being repaired at a local body shop. The vehicle, a 1988 Chrysler LeBaron, had damage to the right front side and windshield.
The owner of the vehicle was located and accompanied detectives to police headquarters where she was interviewed. She is identified as Linda Ibrahim, age 28, of Cornwall on Hudson N.Y.
As a result of the interview and the police investigation, she was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the second degree (NYS Penal Law D Felony), and Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle accident (NYS V&T Law D Felony).
Ms. Ibrahim is being held pending her court arraignment later this evening.
This investigation is continuing with further interviews expected.
