General News: Birthday at the Dog Park

The Cornwall Bark Park officially turned one on Monday, August 5, 2013 and held a party to celebrate on Saturday, August 10th.
A special cake with a paw print was created by Puppy Paws Gourmet Doggie Treats and Dog Boarding that was made for the dogs and their owners. Randy Clark provided ice cream from Chilly Willie’s ice cream truck.
Kayla Bacher and Ashley Garcia from girl scout troop 459 helped coordinate the party as part of their Silver Award project. Colin (CJ) Schroeder, an Eagle Scout candidate, created a rock wall sitting area near the trees for human comfort.
Orange County Sheriff's Dept. Sgt. Dustin Palen was there with his bomb dog K-9 Jake and gave a demonstration and an explanation of their work.
Eileen Hartmann, (owner of Cromwell Manor and who recently received approval to host dogs at her bed and breaksfast) brought her dog to help blow out the candles on the cake.
