The Cornwall class of 1965 gathered for the 4th annual mini-reunion at Torches on the Hudson in Newburgh on July 13, 2013. Thirty Eight people were in attendance which included members from the classes of 1964 through 1967 and seven spouses. 21 of which were from the class of 1965, 6 from 1966, 2 from 1967, 1 from 1964 and 1963.
Marlene Oehlrich and George Kane have hosted this event for the fourth time in hopes of locating the entire class in preparation for their 50th anniversary celebration. The waterfront was a great atmosphere to share old memories, photos and stories about our town, school and our lives for the last 48 years. By networking and renewing old friendships all but four classmate have not been found. Those folks are Margaret Bender, Karin Carlson, Joan Gilner and Francis Anne Spaulding.
Attending this year’s casual dinner celebration were: Peter and Marlene Rieb Oehlrich, Roy and Sharon Kinsler Barley, Richard and Carol Rapp, Art and Sharon Yaple, Matt and Dale Kipp Conklin, Ed and Gale Koch Katencamp, Bob and JoAnn Lester Maucher, Carol Stevenson Scheer and Michael Picone, George and Diana De Rosa Edgar, Andy and Carol Koch Caswell, Stephen and Sally Dorfman Sirota, Sarah Johnston Marsh, Barbara Navarra, Elissa Zahn, Sally Duffy Bryant, Patti Keegan Cohen, Jeanne Marquis Lug, Paul Howard, Tom McCardle, Stephen Della Vedova, Larry Barbieri, Sandra Pedersen Flemming, James Duff, Jack Arnott, Carol Knaack Wiser and George Kane.
The class of 1965 invites other classmates to join our monthly luncheons at area restaurants. The next lunch will be held at Yobo’s on Rt 300 on Aug 15th. If interested please contact George Kane at 845-534-0184.
