Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Chief Steve Dixon advised the Cornwall-on-Hudson Village Board during a Special Meeting held June 10 that during May 2013 (the month designated as Motorcycle Safety Month per the National Highway Traffic Safety Council) that two of Cornwall-on- Hudson's Finest had attended a special training course relative to motorcycles.
Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Officer Nye and Police Officer Antinori attended the Orange County Police Academy that is located in New Windsor (at Stewart) for a specialized Motorcycle Enforcement Training.
Chief Dixon further reported that Police Officer Terwilliger attended specialized Detective/Investigator Training at the Academy.
Chief Dixon himself attended a press event promoting Motorcycle Safety which was held at Motorcyclopedia Motorcycle Museum in New Windsor.
During the month of May the Cornwall- on-Hudson PD continued to participate in Orange County "Stop DWI" program enforcement and also participated in a statewide "Buckle-Up NY" enforcement initiative from May 20 through June 02.
