General News: Village Board Work Session and DPW Open House

The Cornwall-on-Hudson Village Board held a Special Meeting and DPW Open House at the new DPW building located on Shore Road on Monday evening, June 10th.
The following action was taken:
1. Voted unanimously TI continue the purchase of the slightly used Fire Ladder Truck for Storm King Engine Company.
2. Voted to hire the 2 below individuals for Summer Recreation positions as is indicated with specified salaries:
Jennifer Pryne - Director -$3000
Kathleen Hand -Ast.Director -$1800
3. Voted to hire Prestige Office Cleaning of Monroe to clean all the Village Hall offices.
4. Voted to authorize submission of CDBG application
5. Voted to approve contract for accountants compilation report.
6. Heard presentation from Jay Beaumont of ECS about an "energy containment resolution survey" and how the Village can plan to get off the grid and continue operations in emergencies situations or in times of exceptionally high energy consumption and the Village would actually make money in the process. Survey voted upon and approved.
