General News: The Art of Garden Photography
from the Cornwall Garden Club
National Garden Week takes place from June 2 – 8; and, as part of National Garden Week events, the Cornwall Garden Club invites the community to join club members for a presentation on “The Art of Garden Photography” featuring noted photographer Tom Doyle on Thursday, June 6, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson.
According to Sally Mattausch, chairperson for the event, Tom will share his techniques for capturing the beauty of landscapes, flowers and gardens. Those with questions about the program are asked to contact her at 534-5400.
All attending are also invited to join club members for light refreshments immediately following the program. The club will hold its June business meeting after refreshments, and guests may attend the business meeting as well.
The Cornwall Garden Club is dedicated to a love and interest in gardening and in encouraging learning in horticulture and flower design. Members aid in the conservation of local flora and in beautifying public areas.
