From 8:21pm to 9:28pm Tuesday May 28, the Town of Cornwall Canterbury Fire District Highland Engine Company No. 1 VFD personnel were at the Cornwall Campus of Cornwall St. Luke's Hospital relative an automatic alarm that was set off as a result of an accidental sprinkler trip inside the Materials Handling Area adjacent Emergency Room Ambulance Bays.
There was no fire.
Fire Chief Pat Hines stated the area of building involved (Materials Handling) was a mess as a result of heavy water damage to the interior.
Fire Department assisted with cleanup. No injuries reported.
