General News: Town Police Chief Resigns

Cornwall police chief Russell O'Dell is stepping down from his post as head of the town police department at the end of 2006. O'Dell's resignation was accepted by the town board of trustees at its monthly meeting on Monday night.
O'Dell, who was born and raised in the village of Cornwll-on-Hudson, has been employed by the town of Cornwall police department since 1983.
