Library Launches Library Letters Initiative
CORNWALL, NY – Many can agree that there is nothing better than receiving a hand-written letter in your mailbox. To this end, our Youth Services Department has launched its Library Letters Initiative. In this time when we're all missing the interaction we need and crave, but we're also a little too screened-out, the children’s staff thought of a way to provide a fun, "ol' fashioned" way to stay connected to each other. Aimed to engage those ages 2 to 12 years, the initiative encourages kids to email their name, address, along with fun information about themselves, such as their favorite food, color, animal, or even a joke. In return, the library will respond with a “snail mail” letter sent to the child’s “snail-mail” box.
