General News: Library Budget Passes, Trustees Elected
Just over 500 registered voters cast their ballots in Tuesday vote on a $1 million 2012-13 budget for the Cornwall Public Library. According to unofficial results, the budget was approved by a landslide of 419 in favor and 89 opposed.
In a tight race in which two trustees were elected to the board of the Cornwall Public Library, Elizabeth Hellwege garned the most votes, 202, with Janine Bixler a close second with 198 votes.
Here's how the six candidates for the trustee positions did:

Congratulations to our library for the huge positive vote. Credit goes to Karen and her library staff for the wonderful job they do in making the library such an important part of our community. Congratulations also to Lis Hellwege and Janine Bixler. Great additions to the library board.
