General News: Brooklyn Artist to Perform at 2 Alices
A talented musician from Brooklyn is bringing her show to 2 Alices Coffee Lounge this Saturday evening. Abby Payne has been described as “a whirlwind of talent. Her melodic, textured arrangements perfectly suit her voice (soft and yet full of raw emotion).”
Mikey Jackson, the co-owner of 2 Alices, says that Abby Payne’s talent stood out in a crowd of musicians who approach him to get a gig at the popular coffee lounge. “I watched a couple of her videos and saw that she had a tremendous, put-together voice,” Jackson said. “She is very New York, with a boisterous voice.”

Newburgh artist Joe Pimentel opens an exhibit of his drawings on Friday night with a Hip Hop party featuring three different performers, Newburgh’s A.N.T., Cans, from Poughkeepsie, and Hemizt, from Long Island The show will be hosted by Elevated Genius from 8 to 10 pm.
