From the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Department of Public Works
The village of Cornwall-On-Hudson will conduct a residential cleanup day in the Village on Monday, May 2, 2011. No items are to be put at curbside before 5:00 pm on Sunday May 1, 2011.
The Following Items Must Be Placed in Their Own Separate Piles:
METAL – Limit of ONE appliance per household. Refrigerators (must have doors removed), stoves, washers, dryers, etc.
BICYCLES - Must have the rubber tires removed from the rims.
PAINT CANS - Only completely emptied paint cans will be picked up.
BRUSH -Brush must be tied into bundles, no longer than six (6) feet in length, weighing no more than 25 pounds. Loose brush will not be picked up.
LEAVES & TWIGS - Must be in cardboard boxes, cans or Bio-degradable paper bags only, weighing no more than 25 pounds.
Tires- No more than two (2) tires with rims removed
LUMBER - Shall not exceed six (6) feet in length, weighing no more than 25 pounds.
(Lumber from construction sites for contractor cleanup is not permitted)
Other articles than listed above - Shall be in separate piles.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
NO Propane tanks of any size.
NO Computer Monitors/televisions
NO Demolition/construction materials.
NO liquids, including materials of any substance.
NO Hazardous or Toxic materials.
NO Paint cans unless completely emptied.
NO Tree trunks. .
NO RETURN TRIPS WILL BE MADE
