General News: Ross Appointed COO at SLCH

From St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital
St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) recently announced the promotion of Robert S. Ross to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.
Ross has served as Vice President then Senior Vice President of operations since 2001. During his tenure he has expanded outpatient services and worked to improve SLCH’s hospitality operations.
He over saw development and implementation of an eight year $125 million master facility plan. Recently Ross has successfully focused on recruiting new physicians to the community.
In his new position, Ross will add the nursing division and strategic planning initiatives to his role. He will oversee all areas of hospital operations.
“Ross’s expertise in the healthcare industry and his experience in administration are a true benefit to the SLCH community”, said Allan Atzrott, SLCH President and CEO. ”This promotion is a testament to his diligence and commitment to SLCH.”
Ross has more than 25 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining SLCH he worked as senior director of administration at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a master’s of health services administration from the George Washington University. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
