General News: Notes from the Village Board Meeting
Village trustee James Kane is pushing ahead his proposal to offer residents an installment plan for paying local taxes.
He told fellow trustees on Monday that he is studying at least three different proposals – including allowing property owners to pay in two- or three-month installments. More research needs to be done on how much of a penalty should be charged with each installment, he said.

Village trustees voted on the official terms of the Cornwall-on-Hudson board of ethics members on Monday night. The board has not met since June after its chairman resigned. A new member of the 3-person board, Kristen Doyle, was appointed last month and this clears the way for her swearing-in.
