Rock sculptures at the riverfront. |
|
|
A log was hoisted atop this metal pipe. |
A creative sculptor visited the Cornwall-on-Hudson riverfront this weekend, building a series of more than a half dozen rock cairns that extendout into the river itself.
Actually two bearded stone-stackers. Saturday on the rising tide, after 4pm. Classic found art, nice change of scenery.

Although I am sure they will not last the mighty river, these rock sculptures plague parks and hiking trails throughout the nation. Its ok if they are removed after a reasonable time, otherwise it upsets the natural beauty of a landscape. just my thoughts.

Rock cairns are used in this country and internationally to mark trails, especially trail intersections. Please do NOT remove them unless you are quite sure they serve no purpose.
