General News: Swimming, Babysitting Classes at Town Rec
Summer arrived in Cornwall a week ago but it's not too late to be part of summer activities brought to you by the town of Cornwall recreation department.
If you want to be sure that your child learns how to swim, sign up now for three weeks of swim lessons, with sessions statin on July 5th and again on July 26th.
Class will be held on two days per week, either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm or from 7 to 7:45 pm.
The price per child, age five or older, is $50 per child and $45 each additional child.
If you or your child would like to earn some extra money as a babysitter this summer, be sure to sign up for the Babysitter course that will be offered on Saturday, July 18, 2010.
In the course, students age 12 and older will learn safety and first aid procedures, as well as how to feed and change young children and what to do in case of an emergency. The cost for the four-hour program is $55 per child. Participants will receive a nationally-recognized student completion card.
