General News: CCHS Players Offer Youth Soccer Clinics
The Cornwall High School boys’ soccer team will be hosting a series of four recreational clinics on Thursday nights in July. The clinics are open to boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 5 through 9. The session dates are Thursday nights, July 8, 15, 22 and 29th and will be held at the Cornwall Central Middle School soccer field from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost for the four sessions is $45.
Players are encouraged to pre-register using the fliers that have been circulated through all local schools. Fliers can also be picked up at Merritt Florists on Main Street in Cornwall. Those registering on the night of the first clinic should be at the field by 6 p.m. All proceeds will go to support the Cornwall School District boys’ soccer teams.
Cornwall High School Varsity Soccer Coach John Mandia, his coaching staff, as well as former and current players have prepared a fun-filled clinic schedule that will not only teach young soccer players solid fundamentals, but give them the opportunity to compete in small-sided games. The clinics are a great way for young soccer players to meet the coaches and players from the Cornwall school teams and to help support them.
