The monument to Blair already was missing several letters when this photo was taken in 2006. |

Boy, what a dumb use of Town money. Creating a wall and a plaque for someone who was simply born in Cornwall and then moved away and excelled at a sport?
I bet if you asked Gen. Petraeus, he'd rather see the town keep their money and use it for something important rather than yet another monument or memorial.

Why not just clean off the front and leave it as the cozy little structure that it is. Quit fiddling with it. Use the money to pay somneone to paddle out and flip the 'gator head' right-side-up.

I agree with T. Warren, Ms Blair was simply born in Cornwall and her family moved away when she was about six months. Is Cornwall so desperate to have a claim to fame that all you need is to be conceived and born here to have a plaque. Maybe you should get in touch with Blair and see if she would like to contribute to the plaque, or NYMA, or anything else to do with Cornwall, it is her home town after all. Ugh.
