The Moodna waters barely reached this house on Otterkill road this year.
In April of 2007, the house was surrounded.
The heavy rains this weekend caused some flooding of the Moodna Creek in Mountainville and led Cornwall-on-Hudson water department head Bob June to close down the wells as a precautionary measure.
Three years ago, heavy flooding in the well fields at a time when the Catskill aqueduct filter plan was not operating led to a boil water advisory for several days. June says that the water department hasn’t experienced any similar problems this year.
