After a year of discussing what to do about the burgeoning deer population that is changing the dynamic of the area’s forest growth, bow hunting began in October and incited controversy. The story posted to this website received more than two dozen comments and Cornwall-on-Hudson mayor Joseph Gross said he received more than 200 letters denouncing the hunt from animal rights activists from across the country.
