General News: Special Meeting on Master Plan
The draft village comprehensive master plan will be the focus of a special meeting on May 16, 2009, at 9 a.m. in Village Hall.
Members of the village planning board, zoning board, master plan committee and board of trustees will meet to review the draft document. It will be the first time that all of these groups have met to discuss to discuss the draft plan since it was submitted to the village board in July 2007.
Among the topics that may arise at the meeting is the view preservation law. At last week’s board meeting two residents hotly debated the purpose of the law, which is designed to preserve unobstructed views of the Hudson River. Mayor Joseph Gross said the best place for a discussion of the law would be at the May 16th meeting.
In addition, a public hearing on changing the summer hours at Cornwall Landing and Pagenstecher Park will be held at Village Hall on Monday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m.
