General News: Brazilian TV Crew to Film
Cornwall-on-Hudson will find a place on the international map after this Saturday when a video crew from Brazil’s TV Globo shoots an episode of the program “Unusual Place” at the Beltane Festival to be held at The Grail on Duncan Avenue.
Bernadette Montana, who is organizing the second annual Beltane Festival, says that the Brazilian prime time show on Globo's Multishow network is geared towards young people and focuses on the arts, music and entertainment in the New York area.
The video crew should expect to find a colorful array of people dressed in Renaissance-style and other fantastic clothing, along with musicians, tarot card readers and performers throughout the day. Beltane is the Gaelic name for May and the festival celebrates the traditional arrival of spring with, among other things, a dancing of the Maypole.
Montana says that tickets to the all-day festival cost $20 and are still available. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. in the fields outside The Grail at 119 Duncan Avenue in COH.
