General News: Film Shot Locally Premieres in NYC

Movie fans at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival will get a look at some beautiful spots in Cornwall and Cornwall-on-Hudson when the film Handsome Harry plays this week.
Several scenes in the dramatic film were shot in the area, including one at Storm King Golf Course, one at the village home of Peter Neuman on Braden Place, and one at the Schunnemunk Stables off Route 94 in New Windsor.
The film stars Steve Buscemi, Jamey Sheridan and Aidan Quinn, who has family ties in Cornwall-on-Hudson as well. Bette Gordon directed the movie that tells the story of an ex-Navy man carrying out the last wish of a dying shipmate by renewing contact with old friends to break the code of silence around a mysterious, long-buried crime.
Handsome Harry debuted at the festival on Saturday night. Additional screenings will be held on Friday, May 1, at 3 p.m. and on Sunday, May 3, at 10:15 p.m. For more details, visit the Tribeca Film Festival website, where you can also download the film's trailer that includes a scene of Buscemi and Sheridan riding in a golf cart in location sure to be Storm King Golf Club.
