General News: Boat Damaged in Apparent Arson
A fire that seriously damaged a Bayliner boat in Cornwall-on-Hudson early Saturday morning is believed to be arson, according to village police chief Charles Williams.
Chief Williams says that the inboard motor boat and trailer were parked in the driveway of a private residence at Academy Avenue and Curie Road when the fire started around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
“We’re calling it an arson,” Williams said in a phone interview. “The investigation is still open and if need be we will call in other agencies to assist.”
