General News: Library Budget Passes, New Trustee Elected
Voters approved a $910,000 budget for the Cornwall Public Library on Tuesday by an unofficial tally of 422 to 109. A total of 531 people voted in the election, nearly a 25 percent increase over 2008.
In addition, voters elected Joseph Barth, a retired librarian who spent most of his professional career at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, as a new trustee. Barth received 232 votes in the unofficial tally. Susanne Vondrak received 170 votes while Marilyn Klein got 132.
