Gabriel and Daniel Thurau show off the baby goats as their mother, Talitha, looks on. |
An uncommon sight awaited outside the jewelry store at Cornwall Plaza on Wednesday as a proud family introduced a pair of kids that had been born the night before. The kids – baby goats, not children – came into the world at Edgwick Farm on Angola Road, the first births of the year. They were named Harvey and Ian.
Farm owner Talitha Thurau and two of her children, Daniel and Gabriel, had brought the day-old baby goats into town to show them off to people who are supporters of her farm.
Talitha raises goats and chickens and grows vegetables on her nine-acre spread on the outskirts of Cornwall. You can read all about the goats and follow the birth of more kids that are expected in the weeks ahead on Talitha’s blog at www.edgwickfarm.wordpress.com.
Comments:
I wonder why the supporters couldn't go to the farm to see the new kids? why take them away from their mother so soon? are these folks like the kitten-in-a-box people?
