General News: Teen Hospitalized After Accident
A 17-year-old Cornwall youth is recuperating at Westchester Medical Center following a car accident in front of Cornwall Plaza on Tuesday evening.
Anthony Lodato was a passenger in a Toyota driven by Amanda Wilson, 18, of Newburgh when she made a left-hand turn in front of an incoming truck at Quaker Avenue and Oak Street. Wilson’s vehicle was struck by the 1980 Chevrolet and Lodato suffered a head injury, according to Cornwall police chief Todd Hazard.
Lodato was flown to Westchester Medical Center while Wilson and another passenger were taken to the Cornwall Hospital for minor injuries.
