General News: Know Your Local Polling Place

Tuesday November 6, 2012 is election day and voters in Cornwall and Cornwal-on-Hudson will find that some of their polling places have moved.
If you live in Districts 5, 9, or 13 and previously voted at the Cornwall Ambulance Building, you will now be voting at the Highland Engine Company Fire House.
If you live in District 12 and previously voted at the Idlewild Creek Apartments Community Room, you will now be voting at the Highland Engine Company Fire House.
There will be a senior bus doing two scheduled runs from Idlewild Creek to help the seniors who do not have a means of transportation. The morning run is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon run is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

You may verify your polling location by visiting the Orange County Board of Election website.
Polls throughout New York state will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
In addition to polling place changes, Board of Elections has the following extra hours:
Thursday, October 25, 2012 5pm-9pm
Saturday, October 27, 2012 9 am-1pm
Thursday, November 1, 2012 5pm-9pm
Saturday, November 3, 2012 9 am-1pm
