General News: Hearing Set for Fee Increases
The town of Cornwall will hold a public hearing on October 21 to address a hike in fees for building permits and zoning and planning board applications.
Cornwall building inspector Gary Vinson has submitted proposed new fees that he says will bring Cornwall in line with other municipalities. Among the increases will be a rise from 35 cents to 45 cents per square foot for a building permit and an increase of $100 for a zoning application.
Vinson told the Cornwall town board earlier this month that fees have not been increased since 1995.
The public hearing on the new fees will be held at Cornwall town hall at 6:55 p.m.
