The Cornwall GIrls Softball teams continued to rack up victories on the field this week.
The major girls defeated Warwick by a score of 12-0 on Monday. Caroline Staudle had four hits in the four-inning game. Pitcher Allison Scott struck out five batters. Alex Jurgens had a single, double and triple. Monday's victory comes on the heels of a 11-0 win against Otisville on Sunday. The team faces Walden at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Montgomery.
The senior girls softball team plays for the District 19 title on Tuesday in Pine Bush after defeating New Windsor 6-2 on July 5.
The 9-10 boys baseball team won its first outing in a game against Monroe-National on Monday with a final score of 9-5. Mike White went 3-for-4 at bat and winning pitcher Nick Klumack and Mike Bartolone each went 2-for-4. They face Monroe-American on Tuesday in Minisink.
In the major boys team, Alex Cruz produced three home runs and four RBI in a game on Monday against the Town of Wallkill. Liam Heany had three hits. This was not enough to defeat their opponents, who won with a final score of 12-8. The Cornwall team was eliminated.
